A football fan was almost hit by a car after being floored with a single
punch in the middle of a busy main road following a derby match between
Exeter City and Plymouth Argyle in the UK. The shocking attack was
captured on camera as a small group of fans brawled after Exeter lost
3-0 to Argyle.
In the footage, the young fan takes a punch to the face and tumbles to the floor - as an oncoming car screeches to a halt.
It misses his head by a matter of inches before he climbs to his feet.
Eyewitnesses claim the ugly confrontation broke out between Exeter fans in front of children and families after they left Argyle's ground on Saturday, the Plymouth Herald reported .
It came at the end of a day of ugly clashes between fans and police as pint glasses were allegedly hurled at officers.
A red flare was set off as Exeter supporters came face to face with police in the city centre and a Wetherspoons pub was reportedly evacuated.
